Now I have to do it...
So...secretly I was planning on skipping out of the Vineman that I so ambitiously signed up for back in October when I had yet to ever really train for, let alone compete in, a 1/2 Ironman race.
No one else I knew had signed up for it so I figured I had a great execuse to get out of it. However, my friend and fellow glutton for puishment, Erik Ahroon, got onto the waiting list for the race. Once again...I was secretly hoping he wouldn't get in. Unfortunately, depending on how you look at it, he got in and signed up. Soooo...I will be attempting to compete in the Vineman in a few weeks. I have all of four weeks to get myself in shape.
I went for a really long run over the weekend, swam a pretty far distance and actually rode thirty-two miles on my bike all within two days. I am thinking that this meager amount of training will give me the confidence to push myself really hard and somehow be ready on July 22, 2007.
We'll see...I'll keep the interested up to date.

Hi Jason,
I didn't think you were going to do it and now you have the push and comraderie. It is such great exercise. I like you humor and pictures. They make me laugh!!!
